What is flexibility


What is the first thing you think of when you heard about the terms of “Flexibility”? You may think of Yoga or female because normally female seems to have a better stretching than male.


But actually for both gender, a good flexibility helps prevent injury from training and daily life. According to the U.S. Surgeon General's report on physical activity and health, flexibility is defined as " a health-related component of physical fitness that relates to the range of motion available at a joint." But how can this related to our daily life?




For people who don’t have enough range of stretching may result in compensation, for example, people who have insufficient motion range of hip may compensates the low back during lifting. Therefore, having a sufficient motion range is essential for general public.
